The living room in this traditional 1920’s home is very long and our client’s wanted to improve both the functionality and the look of this room. New furniture was purchased, a chair and ottoman recovered and new cushions and accessories sourced. The existing sun mirror was reused as it fit in well with the glamorous look of some of the new pieces.
Swivel chairs have been used in the centre of the room to provide seating in both ends of the room, the chairs are also low backed so that you can see through to the view outside. Some fun elements were added to the room with the solid acrylic “face” side table from Jonathan Adler and the burst of blue in the interior of the antique mirrored cabinets.
A series of rounded shapes and forms have been used in this room to accent the shape of the circular bay window and offset the long rectangular shape of the overall room.
