Milan Design Week 2016 Blog Series – Part Ten Wall Cabinetry

The variety and quality of wall cabinetry and shelving at Salone del Mobile this year was fantastic. I loved the large scale open shelving used as rooms dividers, with interesting accessories and greenery to add freshness.

The key trends coming through at the show were the use of cube and box shelving combinations. These were made in different finishes and colours, enabling you to fully personalize your look.

The use of mesh was prevalent as a backing for shelving units, providing great texture. The wall cabinetry was very linear in style with block colours and shapes.
